The Tempest

Scene Design study

"The Tempest" is one of William Shakespeare's last plays, believed to have been written around 1610-1611. It tells the story of Prospero, the exiled Duke of Milan, who has been stranded on a remote island with his daughter Miranda for twelve years. Prospero, a powerful magician, conjures a storm (the tempest) to shipwreck his brother Antonio and other nobles who betrayed him onto the island.

"The Tempest" explores themes of power, betrayal, forgiveness, and the transformative power of art and reconciliation. It is often regarded as one of Shakespeare's most enigmatic and thought-provoking works, with its complex characters and rich symbolism offering a wealth of interpretations.
